I'm Ali Assem Mahmoud, a researcher mathematician. I have a PhD in Combinatorics and Optimization from the University of Waterloo, awarded 2020. Between 2020 and 2022, I held postdoctoral positions at the University of Ottawa, the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics. From January 2023, I work at the Institute for Quantum Computing at the University of Waterloo (IQC). Beside researching in Combinatorics, I do research that intersects with Machine Learning, Quantum Computing, and Quantum Field theory. I've also worked on an engineering project that applies Machine Learning to radar systems at the ECE department of the University of Waterloo.
